The Lock Monsters defeated the Springfield Falcons tonight with two goals by Mike Commodore and a PP tally by good ol' C-Mac.

Krahn was the netminder, and was a bit underwhelming IMHO, but he helped get us the win. Former Lock Monster Jamie Storr was in goal for the Falcons and actually played better than his 4 goals against suggests.

Commodore got a goal, and an assist on Chuck Kobasew's goal. Craig MacDonald and Justin Taylor also scored for Lowell.

IMO, Jamie Storr played better in this one game than in his entire last season with Lowell.

I still don't believe it was Captain Red Light in net for Springfield. He stopped far too many shots (although, quite honestly, some of those shots were weeeeeeaaaaaaak).

Stars were, er, um ... some guy for Springfield got 3rd star. Staal got 2nd. And the ever-amazing (*g*) Mike Commodore was 1st.

The PP and PK looked better than I recall them being. But then again, that might have been the 2 beers/little food talking.

Today it's a matchup with Albany (featuring UND product Zach Parise and former Flame Dean McAmmond). This is going to be a tough one.
